Implants
A dental implant mimics the form and function of a natural tooth, which consists of a root and a crown. The crown is the visible part of your tooth. It is used to chew food and is therefore the most susceptible to cavities. The crown is attached to the jawbone by the way of the root. When decay has gone deep enough or when a periodontal disease has advanced enough to warrant an extraction, the entire tooth , root and all, is taken out. The dental implant is a titanium root that gets fitted into a socket that we create in your jaw. Once the root heals, we place an artificial crown on top. The new crown is customized to match your bite and the color of your teeth. Implants can be used in many different ways, providing you flexibility in your treatment options. With dental implants, chewing problems can be alleviated, allowing you once again to eat the foods you enjoy.

"The treatment I received from Dr. Osborne and staff was remarkable. They went out of their way to ensure I was completely happy with all of their services. My implant procedure was as pain free as possible. The staff scheduled my appointments right after the appointments with their Oral Surgeon colleague Dr. Davis so that travel was a minimum from Decatur on every visit.
Dr.Osborne took several photos & measurements throughout the procedure to make sure the implant of teeth 7,8,9 &10 ( top front ) looked natural, well actually much better than natural as in my case.
I want to thank Dr. Osborne and all of his staff once again for an unprecedented high quality experience and I recommend his office for all of mine and your dental needs."
